Volley

In 1939 an Australian footwear institution was born when Aussie tennis legend Adrian Quist won the Davis Cup in a pair of borrowed boat shoes. Inspired, he took the shoes back to his job at the Dunlop Rubber Factory and went about emulating the boat shoes unique herringbone grip in a shoe purpose built for tennis. The Volley was born, and became the tennis shoe of choice for a dynasty of Australian tennis champions.
